To Do

Food

The exclusion of major chains and franchises in both communities, has led to a diverse offerings. The local cafes, bistros and restaurants in town take great pride in what they do, sourcing most ingredients as close to their source as possible. Non-profits such as 'TUCG', (Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild) forage their produce right from small farms on or around Vancouver Island. The result are sensational menus, that will tickle your gustatory senses !

Hunting and gathering

A myriad of local artisans and makers found their inspiration in the rough beauty of the Pacific Rim. Artists from the 'Group of Seven', such as Arthur Lismer portrait this stunning scenery in his paintings. But also contemporary artists such as Randolph A Celebrini, Mark Hobson or Nelly Heyduck translate their unique perceptions onto different media.

With dozens of galleries and gift shops, covering the entire spectrum from Fine Art to Arts and Crafts, there is no reason to stay home and blame the weather !

Welcome to your playground!

Our guest suites are at the very sweet spot - a stone throw away from both Little Beach and Terrace Beach for that quick micro stroll in the morning.

Or take a 5 minutes walk to the world renown Wild Pacific Trail's lighthouse loop, THE first-class location for storm watching here on the coast.

There is a bike path right outside our doorstep if that's your sort of thing. But really, you can pretty much walk everywhere (Co-Op 10-15 min, but beware on what you end up schlepping home ;-)) If you fancy a drive to Tofino (that other town you might heard of) it's 40 min, but with a gazillion beaches in between..
